I am planning on rebuilding my engine due to its old age but i cant decide if it is financially sound to convert to a 1.8t. I know that there are a lot more parts available oem and aem for the 1.8T and i can also start playing with boost pressure and such but i dont really work on audis much and i dont know exactly what i would be getting into if i tried the conversion, anybody done one?

Why not put in a 2.7t?

Don't worry about it, the engine will last a LONG time. If you are that worried about it, sell it, & purchase another car.
