I have a 1993 90S (FWD) with about 185,000 miles on it. I noticed that when the RPMs are below 1,000 the engine makes a sort of sputtering noise and the tachometer is not steady, I didn't think anything of it and ignored it because it drove fine. Then the other day I was taking a right turn and the car just died. Since then it will randomly die or try to die (as it is doing this the RPMs go very high and it jerks a lot) if I step on the gas while it is doing this it will keep it from dying and it will after 15-20 seconds it will go back to normal (if it does die the car can just be started again and it will drive normaly again). I don't know if this is a serious problem or something I can fix myslef. Any info or suggestions would be helpful.
