PLeease help!! I have a 2000 a4, lately it used to just cut off (Stop) and the epc and the battery light often appears. This morning, everything seems to be off, I have to manuallu open the car, and it wont start. Only the Air bag and the ABS lights come on everyhthing else is dead. I have no idea what is going on!! My concern is alsothe safety of the car, anyone can just open it right? as the immobiliser is off....? Could this have anything to do with the battery?

Sounds like a battery issue to me. The question is whether it's just the battery that's dead or if your charging system went and killed the battery through lack of recharging. That's what I'd look into - put a different battery in it and go to AutoZone to have a charging system test done (it's free) so you'll know whether it's the battery or the alternator.
