car won't start in cold

I've got a A4 Avante that won't start in the cold. As soon as the temp. drops the car won't turn over. Today when the tow truck showed up to cart it off to Glenmore Audi we tried to boost the car but it still wouldn't start. Last winter when the car got towed to Glenmore Audi twice they haul it into the shop and once it warms up the car starts and they tell me there is no problem. The service dept at dealership is horrible and isn't really helping. They say that all they can do is bring it into the shop hook it up to the computer and do what it tells them. Anyone got any idea's? I'm not a car guy and the service manager won't say what the problems could be all I get from him is call Audi and get it towed in. Please help.

RE: car won't start in cold

Maybe you could have your ECT checked, engine coolant temp sensor.
