CEL with Trouble Codes P1176 and P0139.02
I recently aquired a 2000 A4 Avant Quatro w/2.8 V6 and Auto Trans. It has 96,000 miles on it. Already replaced 3 sensors (2 at an independent shop and Bank 2 Sensor 1 myself) Still have a CEL on and the following codes showed (I'm using a hand held "V-Checker" that I just aquired).
• P1176 Cam Calibration Fault • P0139.02 Sensor Circuit Slow Response Bank 1 Sensor 2 The second code looks to be another oxygen sensor fault (3 have already been replaced but I suppose it's possible that all four need replacement). I'm not quite sure what the first code means but I have read that the "1" in the third position means its a "fuel and Air Metering" related fault (it sounds like a timing issue?). I also ran though some oxygen sensor tests but I don't know how to interpret the values. Here are the readings for Bank 1 Sensor 2. • Rich to Lean Sensor Threshold Voltage (constant) = 0.572 V • Lean to Rich Sensor Threshold Voltage (constant) = 0.572 V • Minimum Sensor Voltage for Test Cycle (calculated) Test Value = 0.000, Max = 0.572 Min = 0.000 • Maximum Sensor Voltage for Test Cycle (calculated) Test Value 0.871, Max 1.004 Min 0.572 If anyone can help me interpret all of this or maybe identify what else I should be looking at it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Pete |
