Charging light system
Everytime I accelerate quickly(almost full throttle) on my 01 Audi a4 my battery light(symbol) comes on...but then turns off again later on. What does this mean?
this all started today when I hit the bottom of the car at the car wash...water started leaking from which it seemed to be by the battery(bottom of car) do Audis have a draining system in which water drains down from only one particular hole or so?

No, everything was off.
After that, seems like its lost quite a bit of power and the turbo doesnt seem to kick in quite as hard...when I full throttle the rpms go up to 6k. Hopefully its not the transmission

Hi,
new guy here, just changed the alternator and battery. now the battery light is intermittently flashing. mech said it's the belt tensioner. Got another mech who just informed me that when you change the alternator you must/should get a new belt, tensioner, and other parts!!! I'm not going back to the 1st mech
http://www.blauparts.com/ you can see the whole kit here. And the cost is way less than the 1st mech charged me
cheers,
