clunking when slowing down

clunking when slowing down
Hello, I am new to the Audi world and would very much appreciate any info anyone may have...
I just bought a 2001 Audi 2.8 Avant Quattro Automatic, 55,000 miles. I have noticed a soft clunk/thud when slowing down/downshifting in normal drive not Tip, any ideas?
