Default Clutch Help - 04' A4 1.8t

1. 2004
2. A4
3. 1.8l Turbo 6 speed manual
4. 176k miles
5. Quattro
6. Only codes are for throttle position sensor issues (non related)

Back story, I purchased the car as a non-drivable car. It will not move at all when releasing the clutch. I can also put it into any gear without pushing the clutch in.

Things I have checked so far -

1.) Inspected all axle shafts for disconnect or broken. all looked good and don't leak either.

2.) When in any gear, I spun the wheels to test transmission and diff. when in gear, front wheel spins other front wheel.
rear wheels spin the driveshaft. In my opinion, indicating trans and diffs are fine.

It seems as the clutch is permanently engaged and will not release.
When putting into gear with or without clutch pedal down, it makes no abnormal noises.

I am trying to figure out what the heck is happening!!
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
