I posted a couple of days ago about my codes and was venting more than asking. LOL. Does anyone know what I am up against? Here are the codes -

P0171 - Fuel Trim, Bank 1 System Too Lean

P0174- Fuel Trim, Bank 2 System Too Lean

The guy at the auto parts store told me that it could be my fuel pump, fuel filter etc. He didn't have too many other ideas. I'm just looking for any ideas, so I'm not hit in the face when I take it in next weekend.

So, what exactly does this mean? Do you think it will be a huge fix or something minor? Probably not something I could do myself.

 

minor problem new gasket on the intake should sort it

 

or you could nip the bolts up and see if that works

 

It goes into the shop for the scheduled maintenance next weekend. I think I'm just going to wait until I take it in. I have no idea how to work on this car. I don't think they will charge me too much.

 

its a process of illumination problem im afraid the code only points to an area to check not the actual problem though its probably a simple fix
