I couple a weeks ago i scanned my audi 2.0T 2006 engineB7, and i got this code P2293, i did read in this same forum that this problem was in te HPFP (high pressure fuel pump) and a cam follower that comes with it. And indeed this whole part was messed up...I changed the whole pump for a new one, also the sensors but the problem persist...i did reset the computer and everything but everytime that a press the pedal and goes up to 4k revs the code comes up into the scanner and automatically the car lose power , Anyone had this type of problem with an audi???

 

There may still be some crappy data in the ECU. You'll need to clear it. Disconnect the battery (make sure you have the radio code to re-enter it if needed) for a couple of hours. When disconnecting the battery disconnect both terminals and touch them together for a few seconds to discharge any powerstorage devices in system. After a couple of hours, reconnect the terminals to the battery. Turn the ignition key on but DO NOT try to start the car. Let it set in the ON position for 10-15 seconds. Then, start the car. It may stumble for a few seconds but it should pick up and run fine. This process clears any data from the ECU and it will forget all about the P2293 issues. Even though you may have cleared the code before, there may have been some data in the ECU that may he causing some issues.
