Cold Start & Seafoam
***BEFORE ANYONE HAS KITTENS.....
I've looked at a lot of the threads involving cold starting and others involving Seafoam. My 99 A4 2.8 cold starts like a beast...it turns over for a little bit before finally starting. It doesn't matter if it is hot or cold outside. Has anyone had any success with the whole "Seafoam" additive? Also, my check engine light just came on. No difference in performance...shifts and runs like butter
I'm going to take it to Advance to get the engine code read but I just wanted to get with someone that actually used the Seafoam. Thanks

I for one don't like adding anything to my oil. But...I hear good things about sea foam and also my fair share of bad in personal experience. My latest Audi I just bought had the cam chain fail only 120 miles after adding sea foam...if your going to add anything I would say before an oil change poor in a quart of ATF(automatic transmission fluid) its a like a detergent so it eats al the dirt and crap that might have been built up over time.
