Hey all,

I am stuck in Santa Cruz with what appears to be a coolant leak on the rear of my motor right above the transmission (dripping, not seeping or pissing), appears to be close to the block. Any ideas what it could be? Also anyone who might open/able to repair today/tonight?

Any help you can provide is much appreciated!

 

Coolant flange. They are known for leaking cuz the o-rings eventually give out. Also check the coolant temperature sensor cuz the o-ring on that can also leak eventually. I have a 2.8 V6 A6 avant that currently is leaking like that also. Maybe someone can chime in as to where the CTS is located on the 1.8T I have a good feeling its on the coolant flange but not 100% sure
