i have a 1998 a6 and my car seem to be running a little warm only when the ac is on. my aux fan comes on about two min after i start the car . i just purchased this car about a month ago and im trying to get use to the noisy aux fan. should it always stay on high or somnething could be causing it to do this? ive heard of coolant sensors and other things to check but dont know where they are located on the car.

 

Have you checked the viscous clutch on the other fan? Prolly do for another one.
