Cooling system
 

I have a 1998 Audi A4 1.8T and i filled up the coolant resevoir and took a road trip from AZ to Texas along the way the coolant light came on and i found it to be low so i filled up again and continued my drive. I arrived in TX and left my car for about a week in the driveway then got back in to drive and again about ten minutes down the road the warning came on and i found it to be low. I cannot find a point of leak and have no idea where to start in finding what the problem or leak may be. Any help would be great.

are you running g12 coolant?

i had a similar problem, im still nto sure but i went to my local NAPA and got some Bar's liquid aluminus raditor stop leak, worked like a charm. its been 2 weeks now and the level hasent gone down, hopefully the issues isnt serious where it will need major repair but for the time being this a is fairly good permanant solution until you drain the raditor.
