CVT failing-will shifting in tiptonic help?

I have an '03 Audi A4 Cabriolet with 108k - the CVT is going (bucking, etc). Will shifting in tiptronic buy me some time before I need to replace the CVT?When I shift with tiptronic it doesnt noticeably shudder/slip like it does in regular mode .... Does it make a difference? or is it my imagination....
Thanks for your help!

not really... cause in a CVT there is no shift... cause there are no gears.

everything is simulated thru the transmission electronics.

The CVT is really a piece of crap... its the ONE bad transmission Audi has and they should offer compensation for it... they really should
