hello!
Trying to get my car through the NYS inspection process. The problem is my DLC won't connect to the NYS inspection computer. It does have power but won't connect? any ideas? can someone tell me which wire I need to use to bypass the whole thing>

 

Unplug your aftermarket radio

 

i don't have an aftermarket anything on or in the car. the date was wrong on the dash. could that affect it?

 

Thats wierd. I dont think so.

 

Maybe acanbus problem?
Can you scan it with a vag?

Do you have a thought on which one to try first? I pretty much checked most of them.

 

So you have checked ur fuses right? What is the year make and model of the car?

 

yes. This is the deal. My mech. said that the "dlc" is getting power but won't communicate with the state computer. check engine light is not on. my abs light is on but i was told that doesn't matter on the inspection. he said there are a few wires where if he knew which ones could somehow bypass the system. Is this making any sense? someone shoot me because the inspection process in new york is a pain. And quickly expensive. I have 2 weeks left.
