Default Dodgy indicators on A3

My 2003 A3 has serious issues with its indicators. They work intermittently, hhave an arythmic flash pattern, and even more infuriatingly, the hazard lights come on of their own accord and refuse to turn off!

Is this a problem with the relay, as my audi dealer is being difficult in their desire to not fix the problem.

Anyone?

Hey ozzy, welcome to the forum! Can you give us a few more details? Like, mileage, time left under warranty, and what the dealer has tried thus far to fix the problem?

Hi Ozzy

Had exactly the same problem with my A3. I took it into the dealer who said they had seen quite a few vechicles with the same problem, they were great replaced they faulty relay as a warranty job and I've had no more problems

Cheers

Izzy

The turn signal/hazard relay is located behind the Hazard button. This should not even be a problem for them to replace. When a question of safety is put on the table, your dealer should fix it no questions asked. If they don't help, you may want to file a complaint with audi of UK.

You may also want to check the bulbs just to make sure all of 'em are working fine cuz a burnt out indicator bulb can also contribute to arythmic blinking.

I thought a burnt out bulb caused the blinking rate to double?

I have the same problem but i'm out of warranty. Any idea how you remove the hazard button to replace the relay?
