Door not closing correctly
Hi there,
My drivers side door on 1997 a3 is not closing correctly, it's driving me nuts! The regulator for the windows was replaced a few months ago and everything was fine but just the other day it's started playing up. It closes, from both outside and inside but does not fully engage with the lock so I'm having to tug or push the door to get the final engagement. I've been searching on the net and am wondering if my hinges have had their day? Due to the age of the car this is quite possible or has the subframe slipped inside the door and caused this problem? The door looks fine from outside and the seals aline fine. One final possible fault could be the inner door seal but I've not moved it so cant see how that could be the cause. Can the door be adjusted up an down from the hinges or is that going too far? Any advice is welcomed, thanks in advance
