Exclamation Driver Information Display Trouble

I own a 2011 Audi Q5 3.2. Yesterday without warning, the driver information display went black. It won't display the miles, temperature, or anything at all. It is blank and black. A couple of times it has flashed on quickly when a door was opened, but that happened only twice and besides that it isn't functioning.

This morning I just experienced the same thing in my 2011 S4. I started the car, played around with the trip computer to display the remaining fuel range, turned on the rear defroster, put the car in reverse... and the driver information display went black. I got to my destination, hit some buttons on the stalk to reset/change the display, and turned the car on and off. All with no luck.

Anyone else? I have an appointment to bring it back to the dealer next Monday, but what a bummer!

i think you can check your dashboard circuit first, it may broken.
if it works well, then you'd need a scanner to check out where the trouble is..
Good luck.
Greetings.

Im told taking out the fuses cleaning and putting back can help, sometimes the connectivity is lost between the fuse and the holder, perhaps corrosion? The DIS on my RS5 has gone and I will be popping out the fuses in the next few days (its very cold here at the moment) to see if this fixes it.
