Europe trip impressions

Recently I’ve come back from one month trip in Europe.

Audi’s are all over, in very large #, FWD – 95%, diesels – 99%. (1.9, 2.0, 2.5. 2.7, 3.0, TDI only); MT- 95%

Gas – mainly S8 (V10) and R8.

No indications of ANY oil-sludge issues (spoke to the very few 1.8T owners I’ve met).

I’m quite puzzled with the issues and topics of discussions on and on here (the forum) as there are no indications of this kind of issues in Europe, I’ve seen Audis driven regularly on roads in a shape below any gravel road I know here; in total I start to believe we drive different cars in N/A, as there are so many complains here about reliability, maintenance, etc, NOT present in Europe.

Audi is considered there quite often as a workhorse (avants are very useful for building materials transportation, or farming produce) …

(the new Allroad is beautiful).

A friend of mine believes we drive extremely over engineered cars demanding unreasonable maintenance;

Or we are kind of maniacs (oil changes intervals in particular)…

What do you think?
