front Passenger windows doesn't work
Hi,
I'm new here and I don't know if I am at the good place,
I just have a problem with my 1998 audi a4 Quattro v6,
My front passenger windows doesn't work, I try I other window motor and still nothing I plug the old windows motor in the rear passenger door for test it and its work! so I can't see what is the problem I can hear one click when I press on the windows switch, I know its not the regulator because I unmount the motor from the door and leave it plugged but nothing except the little one click.
I have a another problem not sure if It come in the same time but when I lock the door later it can be 2 minutes or 30 minutes the alarm start and doesn't turn of until I unlock the door and open the driver side door.
So for now I can't lock my door because the alarm fault I don't know if that can be because the passenger windows doenst work.
thanks for any help!!

If it didn't work with a new motor and it didn't work when it was removed from the regulator, then there is no power supply getting to the passenger motor. This could be a faulty switch or wiring fault. Check the wiring loom in the door hinge area in the rubber sleeve for broken wires.
thanks for the reply, I forgot to tell us I already check the wiring in the door every cable look ok, I can heard one single click from the motor when I press the switch, I also try to put the rear door window switch and plug it to the front and still nothing....
I also try to unplug the two cable from the switch of the driver door (master)and plug the one on driver window to passenger windows and try the passenger to the driver windows still nothing and when I have plug the passenger window switch(the one on the driver door) to the driver windows the switch work...
faulty wiring where the door wiring connects to the car, cut or peel back the rubber boot and the thin wires will have broken due to excessive twisting when the door opens and closes. Dave G
