Hi there. New here and I need some help...

Need some options…

Girlfriend's 1993 Audi 90 CS @ 150,000 miles...
Engine wouldn't start for several days. Started checking battery, plugs… then ended up changing fuel filter (there was good change that the filter was never changed).

The car started up and I took it around the block. When I parked, I noticed a steady stream of fuel from the fuel tank area pouring onto the ground. I turned off the engine and after a few moments, the leaks settled down and stopped all together.

The leak doesn't seem to be coming from the filter. Is there a way to know where exactly the fuel is leaking from?

 

Double-check the tightness of the banjo fittings on the filter and be sure there's a washer on each side of each banjo (should have a total of four - two on the inlet fitting and two on the outlet).

 

Found the leak coming from the copper washer. I tightened it like mad but still leaks a bit. Going to try replacing the washer with a copper crush washer. Will see tomorrow if that'll work.
