Gas and water.

Gas and water.
I have a 1998 A6 Avant Quattro with 112000 miles.
When it rains a large amount of water comes in around the floor board on bot the driver and passenger side. Also when it rains water comes in from the roof when I apply the brakes hard.
After I fill up with gas there is a strong smell of raw gas for several days around the gas flap (right rear tire). But i see nothing on the ground or on the car.
Any suggestions as to the cause of these problems and possible solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for any and all replies.

RE: Gas and water.
Plugged drain plusg'll allow water into the cabin. Not familiar with the A6. If no one chimes in with a location for you, soon, try posting a question IN the A6 section.
For te gas, when you fill up do you top off, or put the nozzle back when it first click? All cars have an overflow/vent pipe/tube as part of the fill assembly. Maybe that's plugged up, or sunthin. Not sure how you'd go about unplugging it, if it were, but, at least I've given you something specific to worry about, huh?
