Angry Ghost in the Machine

I have a 2006 A4 convertible with a 1.8t and CVT Transmission that has 180,000. The car has sentimental value and I have been desperately trying to find the issue with this car.

The body and interior are in great shape. I keep up with maintenance but this is a bit of a riddle. Im hoping someone can help.

So the car displays multiple error codes. Primarily indicating a throttle body code. Replaced and reprogrammed throttle body. Codes back immediately.

Also shows Crank position sensor. Replaced...no go. also shows cam position sensor. Replaced...no go. All replaced within days. No help. codes return immediately along with multiple O2 sensors and others.

Car starts and idles like it should. Within minutes of driving, car goes into limp mode. Turn car off, start up, drive within minutes...limp mode. This continues 3-4 times then the car operates on power loss mode with ECP light on.

This car was in a foreign auto shop for 2 MONTHS!!!! Replaced some hoses and valves. No luck. They checked connections as any diligent mechanic would. Nope.

The shop owner was totally stumped and suggested that take it to Audi. I do not need a second mortgage so I took it to a Audi certified shop. The thinking was that perhaps more cutting edge software might help. Nope! Great guys there but same thing. They replaced throttle body and reprogrammed. No go.

So the thinking was is, perhaps an ECU or wiring harness issue.

I got a donor ECU and had it flashed. Exact same codes came back immediately with new ECU. So the last idea that I have is perhaps an engine harness but I really don't know if that will do it or if I'm just wasting more $$$.

I am in Massachusetts. If anyone has any ideas or knows of a shop that likes a mystery I would sure appreciate it.
