Well, I'm finally taking my A6 in for the 60,000 maintenance. Is the following a good deal?

It's an independant shop that I found and has had pretty good reviews. They do aftermarket performance upgrades as well and have discounts on all their services if you are a member of one of the local clubs. They charge 95 per hour and the service is a 2.7 hour job. He said if the spark plugs need to be replaced, he can get me platinums for 17 bucks per piece. I'm not sure where he came up with the figure but he said it would be in the 400 dollar range for the entire service if it needed the plugs? Does this sound a little steep to anyone? We called another place at it was going to be 611 for the whole service if it needed the spark plugs. Does anyone have any ball park prices for the 60,000 service?

 

hell for 50 bucks and a case of beer......if you know someone who is Mech. inclined.....
F*&% for 600 bucks I'll drive down from WI to do it....

Did mine, put Platinum bosch 4 in it.....took an hour
and we got the same car.....(but i got more Mods)

 

What else is included in the 60K service?

 

You can never get a solid answer from anyone at the stealership about what is included in the service. I honestly have no idea what is included?

 

you would think the standard

LOF
trans flush ( about $100)
fuel filter
air filter ( i assume you have a K&N, so forget that)
plugs should be good till 100,000 miles (platinum)
check the Diffs

brake check
suspension check,
anyone else have any other things to check-add......
