I know a lot of people dont go to the Audi links, or even know about the link. But I noticed the VAG locator link which I never saw and it will be useful for people who have CEL's or want their audi scanned for fault codes or tweeking things. I have seen several people lately who would benefit from a scan. So if you want more info than autozone's free scan gets you try this:

Do we have something like this here on AF? I found that site incredibly hard to search (can you imagine the pandemonium if people didn't search *here*??!!?). I'm getting a VAG cable in the mail, im in Rutland, VT, USA.

I don't know much about ECUs and the like. I read the FAQ on the site and this is my impression, please correct me. This is something you can plug into your car when somethings acting up and it will tell you the problem? The car can diagnose itself?
