Hiya, I was hoping someone could help me. I've just bought a 2000 1.8se A4 and have had the brake pads and discs replaced front and back, but now the front brake pads warning light keeps coming on but only every now and then, has anyone got any ideas, thanks.

 

Take it back to who did it cuz I think it has to be reset so the computer knows when they will be due again....

 

Did they put teh PROPER pads on? There's a sensor connection that hasta be connected on teh fronts. Either they dint connect teh sensor wire, they used pads that dont HAVE the sensor wire to connect, or, they broke or damaged one of the wires or connections...

 

If it comes on after hard braking or turning one way then another, add brake fluid.
