Default help, new to audi and dont know what to trust

I just picked up a 05 A4 1.8T with 34k on her now it alreadyhas aftermarket pipes and a fairly loud blow off valve. The dealer does not know who put these items on and can not answer any questions... I noticed the car to be kinda lagging power off the start so i had audi take a look and they tell me to remove the blow off and return the car to stock.the questions i have are how do i tell if it has the K04 turbo(due to the blow off being so loud)? should i change this back or is there something better i can apply? Any help anyone can give would be great... I would like to boost the cars power as much as i can without messing with the factory warrenty too much... thanks!

defenetly take off the bov.... it will make your car run like ****.... unless there is alot more modifications done to your car than you think(like stand alone mangmt., so on).... where did you get the car from??? you don't know what has been done to it? you could take pics and post them up so we could look at them... and after market pipes? what is that? down pipe? turbo piping??????????????????????????

it was probably owned by a kid that wanted that gay psssssssss sound, the reason its laggy is the turbo lag, since most audi have a diverter valve that recycles the boost back into the system to reduce/eliminate lag, i doubt you have a k04, best way to tell jsut look at the size the k04 is way bigger than a k03 and it should also be posted on the turbo itself.
