Hi guys, I have a problem with A6 since i bought. Its 1995, runs good and seems to still have power. But I have a problem, my windshield washer does not work. When ever i turn on the headlights and turn on the washer it works and only sprays on the headlight, but it does not spray on the windshield
Even if the headlights are off. I cant even hear the pump working when i turn the windshield washer on. But when headlights are on than it works but only on the headlights. It does not work on windshield in any case. Guys please help me, I m only 17 and still learning about cars. I really like Audis, so please help me fix this problem. Thanks in advance

 

Well thats easy, locate the washer pumps (right next to each other) on the bottom of the washer fluid tank and check for power flow at the pump.
Chances are it just needs a windshield washer pump, they commonly go out.

 

So there is 2 washer pumps? one the goes to windshield and one to headlights?

 

Thats correct, not sure with the older ones but thats how all the audi's i've ever worked on are.
Go to the dealer and ask them using your VIN number if it has two.
