Hope this isn't a stupid question....
 

I picked up my brand-used 96 Audi A4 2.8 quattro last Friday. Considering what I paid for her she was a good deal. Anyway.....When I start up the car under the odometer there is what appears to read "In2" under the mileage.

I believe that is an indication for service???If so, what????

yea.... service reminder indicator every 10,000 miles

yep its an inspection service 2 and audi wont clear it unless oyu get it done, i goes off after a few minutes so dont fret about it, mines been on for like 40k miles. it just tells you its time for timing belt, water pump oil change and all that other good stuff.
