I need help to make sure I am not being ripped off
Ok, so I have a 1996 Audi A4 2.8 Quattro and I just recently took it in because my check engine line is on. They broke down the price for me and this is how much it is supposed to cost.
Replace Egr, Egr Solenoid And Vacuum Lines ($300)
EGR Solenoid ($399)
EGR ($600)
EGR Gasket ($15)
Vacuum Line ($50)
Replace Rack and Pinion ($375)
Rmn Complt Rack Assy ($449.99)
Tie Rod End ($374.26)
Replace Power Steering Pump ($187.50)
Reman Pump W/o Resvr ($631.01)
This all totals to about $3,400. I haven't noticed any difference in the driving except the buzzing noise from the lack of power steering fluid but other than that it seems to be driving fine. I am not great on cars so I was hoping to get some opinions from people who are more educated on this area. Any help?
