Identify Part

I noticed I have a broken vaccuum hose. I have a 2003 A4 Quattro and the part looks like it is located on the front of the intake. There are two round (1 piece) modules with vaccuum hoses coming out of them and they are joined by arms in the middle. One of the hoses are broken therefore not allowing the arms to actuate. When I hold my finger over the broken hose, it creates a vaccuum and the arms actuate and turn. Does anyone know what this part is called? It looks like I wiould have to buy the whole module because it appears that the vaccuum hoses are part of the module.

Please help....

Go to www.vagcat.com and sign up based on your car. They have exploded diagrams of basically the entire car along with part numbers to go with each. This will allow you to get the Audi part number for the part once you identify it and that way you can order exactly the part you need. And VagCat is free too:)

Assuming your talking about a 3.0 here, those are the vacuum diaphrams for the variable intake manifold runners.

yea, and if you have those plastic vacuum lines they'll break all the time on you. but then again the threaded rubber ones aren't much better
