Ignition issue
Hey gang,
I tried searching some old topics but the closest I came was in "ignition problems" and I'm not sure if it's the same thing. So apologies if this has been covered~
I recently sold my '97 A4 2.8 Quattro MT; on Wednesday actually. Transaction was smooth, and the buyer was very happy about the car. She called me tonite and asked about a problem she had. Apparently now the key won't go back into the ignition switch. Also the radio remains on, as if you just were listening to it after killing the engine with the key still in (yet its not in the ignition anymore [sm=smiley24.gif].
I've never in the car's life had this problem. I feel bad thats she's having trouble so soon after taking ownership, so if anybody knows what this sounds like (maybe a certain mechanical or electrical part of the ignition). We talked briefly and I said I would ask you guys. If theres anything else that needs to be known to diagnose let me know. I'm sure I can call her.
Thanks for any insight!
Rob
