Default interior and driver side light issues

Hi,

I have develope an odd problem that I have not been able to figure out. My driver side parking lights, and my interior lights (radio butons, ambient light, dash lights other than guages) have gone the way of the wind. I have checked all fuses, and bulds - they all appear to be in good condition ie not blown. The turnsignal portion of the parking light still work - just not the parking light portion.

oh yeah - this is on a '99 a6 quattro 2.8l

has anyone experience anything similar or have a clue as to where to check next?

Find a wiring diagram for your vehicle. You already know what doesnt work. Trace back till you find some thing they all have in common. Like maybe a ground or something.

Thanks - finding a proper wiring diagram would be good. I have visably followed and checked wires for fraying , loose ground, etc. I do not get power at the rear parking light when metered - can't get to the inside of the front light. Are there any common areas where wires get pinched cut, corroded that is tied to the lighting systems that anyone is aware of?
here is a complete list of what is not working properly or at all -

dome light
drivers side door open light
ambient lighting
radio/climate button lights
drivers side parking (front and rear)
sunvisor mirror lights
map lights

Is there a common ground for all of these? Seems odd to me that only a portion of the floor lighting has gone out if they have a common ground or connection some where... Totally lost on this and thinking about breaking something on my 76 Wagoneer just so I can fix it and feel good about myself [&:]

Thanks for any Help!

all your problems emanate from fuse location #1
