Jesus somebody please help with this p0102 CEL

Trying to trouble shoot CEL "P0102 Mass airflow sensor input too low" on my 2001 audi a4. Don't have access to a vag-com but reading live data from my scan tool shows MAF reading 0.00 GAL/SEC. Maf has been rewired so maybe its wired wrong? Already replaced it and didn't help. Any ideas? Trying to get this thing inspected.

With a MAF of 0, there is either a big air leak between the MAF and the throttle body (so big that no air is going through the MAF, which is not likely); or you are missing either power, ground, or signal due to an open circuit; or it's wired wrong as you state. Also, check for something weird like the sound deadening material came loose in the air box and closed off the inlet, or something like that.

Previous owner removed stock air box and put on a cone intake with a silicone induction tube.. I tried finding a wiring diagram to see what was going on with the job they did (looks pretty janky) but have no found any diagram on the MAF wiring for a 1.8t
