Key fob trunk light flashes
 

06 a4 quattro s line 6 speed. When i push the trunk release button on the key fob. trunk does not open. also when i manually use the door release no luck. when i depress the trunk release button the light flashes 3 times. fob works with no issues with doors or alarm setting. Im lost, any help will be appreciated.
