My daughter has a problem with her '92 100 CS Quattro...really strange. The key will only go in 1/2 way. Can move auto gear shift to neutral but the car acts like it is still in park....can't move the car. Jiggling the steering wheel, and other tricks don't work. Anyone know what might be going on?

 

sorry to say it, but I think this is just one of those rare occurances. I doubt it is anything serious. I had a dumbfounding scenario like that when my durango got stuck in 4-low. I tried everything to fix it, but ended up having to drive to the dealer going 20 mph. When I got there, they said nothing was wrong and it only took them a few minutes for the car to fix itself.

I would just tow it and let Audi figure it out.
