Default Lazy troubles...

So my keyless entry was acting up and i went to batteries plus to get them changed. now it doesn't work at all and after referring to the manual which said to "resynchronize", i still can't get it to work. What can i do short of taking it to the VW dealership and grabbing my ankles for probably $50?

Will the locks work from the inside? Or is it just the remote?

If no then the vacuum actuator has lost a hose or one has cracked. This can be found in the lower kick pannel on the drivers side.

The locking mechanism works just fine, the button on the inside will lock and unlock all the doors and when i use my key on the keyless entry, insert it in the door and turn it, it works just fine. Its pushing the actual buttons on the keyless entry that doesnt work.
