Whats the deal with the people who only have to have 1 on the rear. What is the criteria for only being able to have 1 instead of 2? Im in MA, dunno if its different state to state.

I think its different state to state. Here in PA its only rear, in NJ and NY its both.

in ma you have to have two plates....ive been running a euro plate up front for over a year now and no probs. ifthe police nab you with "no" front plate it's a moveing violationand goes on your insurance. most states are nowhave to a two plate system. the only ones who legaly can have 1 plate in ma are the people who still have the green plates from the 80's

Some people don't have to have 2 plates, and have new ones. To get them is prob the same as getting the low number plates.

I'm in MA too.

I live in CT have only had 1 plate on my cars for the past 10 years with no problem. (even with 5 Traffic stops) I have never gotten a ticket. Just written or verbal warnings for speeding.
