Hi, I'm new and in need of some serious help. Here's what's up-

I have a late 99 2.8 Audi A4. I have been having some minor issues with the alarm. Sometimes it would go off at random. The last time
I had problems was about two weeks ago (the last time I drove it). I would lock the car and I would hear the same clicking noise as though it was locking over and over(in the rear right of the car). Then eventually my intiror lights would go on and off. Then my alarm would go off. I got so pissed I bought a beater and have not touched my car in about two weeks. So today I went to start it and. . ****!I cant get into my car AT ALL. My keyless entry does not work, along with the key not working either. I had an aftermarket LED installed on the dash and I know the car is totally dead because now it's off. I'm sure it had nothing 2 do with the LED because I have had it for about a year and a half now. I dont even have a way 2 pop the hood because I cant get into my damn car. I really dont know much about cars. . . and I have this strange feeling that this is going cost me a good chunk of my checking account..

do you have tripple a? Also can you open your trunk?

 

I think in the manual i read if that happens there is an emergency release thing somewhere near the gas tank door maybe? i think you have to pull something out of the way and you can push it and it will unlock the doors, but i forget...if i can find it ill let you know.

 

Why does the key not work? Is it the lock? This will help with diagnosis.
