Low oil light
I have a 2008 A4 2.0 T with 23,000 miles. At 22,000 miles or so the low oil light came on. The car has always been serviced at the dealer and always on time for service. I stopped at the dealer to tell them my issue and they said it is normal for that engine and to just add a quart of oil. Is this true? Have anyone else out there have this issue?
That is bull$hit! I have a 2000 1.8T with 160k miles and it does not eat any oil.
Some dealerships just suck. Years ago I had service done at about 40k miles and afterwards I kept smelling antifreeze. Left it at the dealership and they said they could not find anything. Smell got stronger and I left it again - they could not find anything. Then it all blew apart ont he highway and I needed to be flatbedded to the dealership. When I got out of the truck I said to the service manager, "think you can find it now a-hole?!"
Needless to say I have a low opinion of that dealership.
