Default Mileage adjustment

I have found a good used instrument cluster for my 2000 A6; problem of coarse is the mileage is differant. The used one has less, I have read here there is no way to change the odometer reading after 100 miles, set one time only. Is that true or is there a way, I was contacted by a rebuilder who does clusters EXCEPT the 2000 A6 who said they would reprogram the mileage for $ 200.00; yikes.

Thanks

Kim

Default RE: Mileage adjustment

I know for a fact with the factory scan tool the cluster milage can only be programed once. Reguardless of miles driven after programming. You dont even have to start the car for it to be locked in. 200 dollars is a good deal to get the mileage adjusted.
