mtm reliablity
I know this has probably been beaten into the ground 'round here; but I'm new to the forum and it's a concern of mine. I'm interested in doing a stage 2 mtm chip in my '02 avant 1.8 5spd quattro. Whata you know about any negative side effects of this upgraqde. Do I kiss my warranty goodbye also. Feedback, suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks
I don't think it would hurt your car's warrenty. I noticed on the web, you can add aftermaket parts on your car while its under warrenty. If its professionally installed, I wouldn't worry about voiding your warrenty.
Hello,
If you want the chip, buy it! I understand the MTM chip might void the car's manufacturing warrenty. Risk & speed goes well together, buy the chip. Does MTM have any info on this chip 'owner's risk' you're inquiring? This chip damands your car to add more air & fuel. Needing better air induction combined with larger fuel delevery, this chip could work at it's full potienal. I'm sure this chip is the first thing come, the owner wants to blueprint their car to proform like they want too. They should think about keeping this machine for a long time, good tuning doesn't happened over night. It's fun to feel new progression in your car's proformance. If the car break down, repair it like you want. If not, sell the car to someone who likes to tune Audi's.
