Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum,so I'm not too sure if I post this on the right place.

I just a bought a 1996 audi a4 20v SE 1.8L. I'm the third owner. I am a little worried why my car is cruising on 3000rpm at 100km/h(4th gear) and 3400rpm at 110km/h(4th gear). I feel it is fairly high compared to my 1989 mazda 626 (2500rpm at 100km/h). My transmission is 4-speed automatic. I am just wondering if anyone out there also has the same model. Is it normal with this model?

This just got me worried because (I filled up the fuel tank to full) and after 209 kms the fuel tank was on half and so had to fill up the tank in one day. Is there something wrong with my gear ratios/transmission?

P.S. I live in Melbourne Aus. So we have a fair bit of long highways
