Hi Everyone,

I am new to this Forum and have also just purchased my first Audi, I went for a 2001 A3 1.6 Sport as i am only 19 and i have always liked the A3.

I have owned the car for around 3 months and about a week ago the ESP/Traction Control light came on, I pushed the button on the centre console but the light would not go out, And then about an hour later the engine light came on andthey have bothbeen on since. The car runs fine and i will take it to my local Audi dealer but just wondered if any one knew what this problem may be.

Any help would be great.

go to autozone and get the codes off. its hard to tell without knowing the problem in more detail.
after at AZ they read the codes, come back and report what they are.

I'm not sure tey HAVE AutoZone in the UK, guys[8D]

 

ebay a code reader for less than 25 pounds uk. pull the codes and save by taking it a local mechanic rather than shooting blindly with the dealer. dont know about the UK but the dealers here in the states are @$$holes.

 

Thanks guys! We do not Have Autozone here in the UK, I wish we did as it is a great store! The lights have both gone out now. I found a plug off under the bonnet while i was cleaning it? Thanks for your help anyway!

Also im thinking of puttin 18" or 19" Nuvolari style wheels on my car, has anyone ever seen an A3 with these wheels, if so how did it look.
