New Car and some mods.

Hey everyone, hows it going? I have a 2000 A6 2.7t with some mods, and I just bought a 1999 A4 1.8t Quattro. I was wondering if anyone knows what exact pieces I would need for an intercooler kit. I can get whatever size intercooler that I need, but could anyone help me out and let me know what pipes they have that fit right? For example: 1 Staight 12" pipe, 2 18" 90 degree pipes, 2 elbow joints, 3 straight joints, etc. What size intercooler do you have, and what pipes you use? Also, where is the stock wastegate flange, and what size is it? Thanks in advance. I'll be around.

Parts, an intercooler will help.... ;)

You didn't say what kind of IC you are getting. A FMIC will need very different pipes from the SMIC. Every core will use slightly different pipes.

The car has a internal WG in the compressor housing.

Yah, well I plan on gettin a FMIC, I can get any size, I was just wondering if anyone had one and knew what size, and shaped pipes I needed. I would like to get a fatter IC, but I'd rather not cut the front bumper too much. Prob go either 2.5" or 3". What kind of gains you think I'll get with this A4? Can I do a direct bolt up BOV on the internal wastegate, or do I need to weld a flange? Thanks

You will need some straight pipe, & some cured pipe, & a bunch of hoses. Really it's going to be e very hard to help you. As I said all cores are different, so the piping will not be the same. Get the FMIC, & fit it, then look it over & find out exactly what pipes you need. Or you can just purchase a entire FMIC kit, with the piping.

Do you know the difference between A BOV & a wastegate? No, you can not use a BOV, & NO, you can add on an external WG on an internally WG turbo. You will need a flange & hoses to install the diverter valve.
