I need a new catalytic converter for my 96 a4 should i buy and aftermarket preformance or just go with stock and what kind would you suggest if i was gonna go with an aftermarket?

 

you can look here for cats stock an preformance. www.hottexhaust.com. im assuming you have a v6 and they have 2 cats to let you know. if you are only going to replace one go for oem. if you want preformance ones you should replace both. if both cats are original to the car the other cat is probobly going to fail soon to.

 

well stock is around 1000 bucks, while an aftermarket will be around 200-300. You do the math.
