So I bought a new key from Ebay and I'm trying to program it. I did the easy stuff, the key fob locks/unlocks the car, but I can't get it to not start in "safe" mode (lol), I read that it has to do with an immobilizer. Is there anyway to do this myself? The dealership wants ~$100 for it and I'm cheap.

It's a 2005.5 A4.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

 

no, there is no way you can do it... they key has to be registered to your immobilizer and that information is sent to germany... which only a dealer can do
