Default New owner maintenance

I am a new owner of a 2004 A4 1.8T. I have never had a "foreign" car before. I havethree questions.

1. Is it normal for this model to burn a little oil? I've been told that German cars tend to do this and it is not a problem.

2. Is there anything from a maintenance aspect that I need to be concerned about with the Turbo aspect of the car? Is there anything special I need to do to maintain it?

3. How do you replace the engine air filter? I've seen some very complicated instructions, but American cars are a piece of cake. Am I missing something?

Thanks for the help!

1) yes they USE oil i wouldnt say burn but then again in the case of my 12v the piston rings are low tension so they allow some oil to be used, dont know why audi made this, also the BMW i had a used about a 3/4 quart oil between changes, my audi uses about 1 every few thousnad miles.
2)1.8ts are known for t-belt failures (recall for this but your a newer car so it dosent affect you) your engie will get sludge so doa seafoam every 20k and use synthetic, use audi genuine parts and save all your oil change receipts, if you have a lubrication failure audi will give you a new engine as long as the oils been changed. turbos ive heard go out but then again this relates tot eh AEB engine. this is all teh bad, the engien itself and the car are good.
3)your not missing anything, just pop the clip and there you go

For #3, what clip do I pop to change the air filter? I've read complicated instructions that say it requires me to buy a tool and that the filter is deep within?

Does anyone have pictures of where I need to pop the clip?

Thanks much in advance!
