OBDeleven vs vagcom
 

Can anyone tell me if the Obd eleven can monitor trans temp ect or if I MUST have the vag-com to do this? I need to replace tcm in an 06 A4 convertible with a CVT trans and refill procedures call for trans fluid to be a certain temp to get correct fill level. I don't want to drop big bucks on vag-com if the eleven will do it. I tried e-mailing ECS tuning and got no response. Guess I will need to get kit for job elsewhere too since they can't get back to me but that's another story.........

Bought the thing anyway. It can read trans temp. Only issue with this device is figuring out which value it's listed in. When you click on transmission module it asks for the value to be entered. You can select 0-255. Each selection has 4 values and many say not available. Have not yet found a compehensive list of what each group represents. How close is this to the vcds software? So far the OBDeleven looks cool otherwise and seems to do what it claims
